2012 Scion iQ

The Scion iQ will be making its way to Peterson Scion in just a few weeks. When designing the iQ, Scion had a few key characteristics in mind. It had to be something relatively compact, sensible in price and simple to park. The price of the new vehicle includes a program of complementary maintenance for 2 years or 25,000 miles, plus roadside assistance. Scion also sent a message of safety when designing this car as it will have 11 airbags for the 3+1 passenger vehicle. Weighing in at just 2,127 pounds , it takes the trophy for the world’s smallest “four-seater”.

Scion sets the trend with this new iQ model. It is a small car that offers twice the functionality and comfort that drivers expect from a car twice its size. The design of the iQ is clean. It has strong lines, stout headlights and the A-pillar wraps around the rear which emphasizes it’s shape. The rear of the iQ is designed to make the car look modern with the lines that run towards the wheels and the bumper’s rear diffuser. It has a flat gas tank that is located beneath the floor that reduces overhang. On the interior, the rear seats are extremely diverse. The 50/50 split allows enough storage to accommodate up to two golf bags.
